Lori Little, MA, Psychotherapist has over 10 years experience in the psychotherapeutic field. She graduated from Wayne State University with her master's degree in Marriage and Family Psychotherapy. Her career began as a research assistant at Wayne State University in 1997. From there she began doing clinical evaluations and testing for ADHD and learning disabilities, as well as providing psychotherapy to those involved with the state for child abuse/neglect, substance abuse, relationship and mental health issues. She has taught students at Wayne State University, involved in their master's program, how to conduct empathic based psychotherapy, and she has trained airline workers for British Airways and Luftsana how to respond to crisis. She also has extensive experience with working with dual diagnosis clients. Dual diagnosis clients are those who are experiencing both a substance abuse/dependence disorder and another Axis I disorder, such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bi-polar, to name a few. She has 6 years experience in successfully running a group therapy program, for these individuals as well. Currently she feels at home in her private practice in West Bloomfield, MI where she enables those committed to themselves and their path of self discovery and healing to find their true voice and honor it. Lori works with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She assists those who are challenged with issues of depression, anxiety, substance, physical, and emotional abuse.
